Legal Assistant

Legal Assistant responsibilities include assisting in drafting and filing legal pleadings, interfacing with legal clients, and coordinating attorney administrative work.  Previous high level adminstrative and legal experience may be required.  Other responsibilities include:  proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications, word processing skills at 65 wpm, proofreading skills, calendaring and billing skills.


Paralegal responsibilities encompass a wide-range of sophisticated legal matters, which may include corporate and family litigation and commercial transactions.  Other duties include supervision of discovery and litigation support teams and participation in evaluations and hiring decisions. Works closely with lawyers and clients on high-level matters. Position requires advanced knowledge of the law and legal procedures along with superior leadership and management skills. Experience in a specific legal practice area is highly preferred.  Other skills include:  proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications and high level communication ability.
